What is the difference between rights and freedoms

Rights and freedom are two concepts that overlap to a certain extent. Freedom is the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action. It is our rights that ensure and protects our freedom. In this sense, rights and freedom are always interrelated and inseparable. For example, the right to vote ensures that everybody is entitled to vote in the election, this also automatically allows us the freedom to vote.

The main difference between rights and freedom is that right is a moral or legal entitlement whereas freedom is a state or quality of being free. A right is a moral or legal entitlement to have or do something. Rights define what is allowed to people and what is owed to people. Rights help the people decide what actions are permissible and which institutions are just.

Rights are the foundation of the governments and laws. However, it can refer to the offense to their respective nation. Freedom is a state of being where a person can carry out different activities without interference from other individuals or authority. This is an emotional entity.

Rights do not come from our government, but rather rights come from our creator. If rights come from the government, then our founding fathers did not have the moral right to revolt, as the King of England as the head of the government would have the power to define the rights of the people.

As stated in the Declaration of Independence, our rights come from our creator and our rights are inalienable. Therefore, a citizen has the moral right and authority to oppose any King or government that seeks to limit or take away those rights.
